HMS Warrior at Portsmouth

Royal Arch companions who attended the September 20th convocation of the Bucks First Principals chapter were given a fascinating illustrated talk on “HMS Warrior – the first Iron Warship”. The visiting speaker, Leonard Warne, who had made a careful study of the history of this remarkable vessel, was informative and entertaining. HMS Warrior has been the subject of a massive conservation effort and is now on display in all its glory at the historic dockyard at Portsmouth, where you can also visit Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory.

The companions of the chapter elected for 2014, John Hurley as First Principal, Paul Cawte as Second Principal and John Keeble as Third Principal. Dr. Richard Neaie also announced that there was to be no change to the current Provincial Executive Team in 2014

Membership of this Chapter is open to all Buckinghamshire Past First Principals and provides a useful forum for members from all parts of the Province to meet and exchange information. There are often talks about various subjects of interest, Masonic and non-Masonic alike. All Bucks past-First Principals seeking membership are encouraged to contact the Provincial Office for more information or go the Provincial website at
