On Tuesday 9th of December our Grand Superintendent Dr Richard Neale accompanied by his Executive and Officers of the year, totaling in all twenty-three companions, paid an exchange visit to the Royal Arch Province of Wiltshire.
Dr Richard and his team were met by David Blanchard, Grand Superintendent of Wiltshire who in turn was accompanied by his Executive and Officers of the year.
The Provincial exchange visit took place at Methuen Chapter No 1533, at the occasion of its installation convocation held at the Masonic Centre, Marlborough.
Methuen Chapter warmly welcomed the two Grand Superintendents and their respective Provincial teams on their visit to the Chapter.
The installation was attended by 89 companions who witnessed a superb installation ceremony, at the close of the Installation Dr Richard and the members of Buckinghamshire’s Methuen Chapter No 631 who were in attendance greeted their namesakes in Wiltshire.
The festive board was held at Marlborough town hall where, E Comp David Blanchard presented E Comp Richard Neale with an engraved tankard on which chickens and pigeons were depicted, as an avid racing pigeon and chicken keeper the gesture was greatly appreciated by Dr Richard.
The evening was an opportunity for the retiring Grand Superintendents to introduce their successors, E Comp John Read for Wiltshire and E Comp John Keeble for Buckinghamshire.
With £700 being raised on the evening for the 2017 Wiltshire Provincial appeal, the evening ended with all involved agreeing the meeting had been a superb and memorable Masonic occasion and fantastic display of cross Provincial friendship.
