Comp Amir Ghomshei with his proposer E Comp Brian Ernest Tucker

On Saturday 12th September at a regular convocation, the River Chapter exalted Comp Amir Ghomshei at Slough Masonic Centre. Amir was the Chapter’s first exaltee for nine years. The ceremony was carried out in fine style, led by River veterans E Comp Bryan Wilson as Z and E Comp Frances Willshire as P. Soj. Amir was warmly received into the Chapter.

Amir is forty five years old and is a director of an estate agency in Tring, Hertfordshire. He was initiated into the Chiltern Lodge in September 2012 where he has already proved himself a good deliverer of the craft ritual.

The River Chapter is unique within the province by holding a meeting every other year in Devon from where it draws some of its membership. The Chapter may be small in membership but they have good attendance at meetings, are warm and friendly, big in heart and well worth a visit.
