Grenfell Chapter Principals Z Nigel Borcherds, H David Ostler, J Richard Reano and the Provincial Royal Arch Executive of Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire
At the Installation meeting of Grenfell Chapter No 3077 held at the Slough Masonic Centre, on Monday the 12th of October, the Chapter had the privilege of hosting an interprovincial visit between the Province of Wiltshire and Buckinghamshire. The ME Grand Superintendent of Wiltshire John Reid his executive and acting officers of the year were welcomed to Buckinghamshire by our M.E. Grand Superintendent John Keeble and his Provincial Team.
The Installation was of the highest standard and congratulations go to all who took part in the ceremony, in particular the outgoing First Principal of the Chapter E Comp Ray Sharp.
It was pleasing to note that the Chapter had four Grand Chapter certificates to present, also Peter Hardwick Grenfell Chapter’s hard-working Scribe E reported on a further candidate for the next meeting of the Chapter.
After the ceremony, forty eight companions adjourned to the dining room for a wonderful meal prepared by the caterer. In replying to his toast, the ME Grand Superintendent, thanked the Province of Wiltshire for their visit and Grenfell Chapter for hosting the exchange between Provinces, he gave an update on events throughout the Province and his pleasure in the success of the “Talking Heads” recruitment program.
Replying on behalf of the visitors, the ME Grand Superintendent of Wiltshire, E Comp John Reid, thanked the Companions of Buckinghamshire for their generous hospitality and the Companions of Grenfell Chapter for a wonderful evening.
A special Masonic occasion with old friendships renewed and new friends made.
The next two Team Visits will be at Oliver Chapter No 2812, at the Masonic Hall Bletchley on Thursday the 11th February, and Roman Way Chapter No 9533 at the Eliot Hall, Church Street, Winslow on Saturday the 12th of March at which meeting we will be hosting Companions from the Royal Arch Province of Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.
All Companions are welcome to attend these and any other Team Visits.
