The Installation convocation of Watling Street Chapter was held at St. Giles Parish Rooms, Stony Stratford, on Friday the 19th October, the meeting was well attended with twenty seven companions present, three of the guests were members of the “Travailing Sojourners”   Tim Long, David Lewis and David Winterburn,  The Travelling Sojourners are really adding enthusiasm and enjoyment to the convocations they attend, which is very much appreciated. The companions present enjoyed a warm and friendly meeting where the Chapter installed new Principals, David Welsted as MEZ  Ian Bamsey as H and Eric Tchambak as J

The ceremony was led by Installing MEZ John Reeves, followed by a very enjoyable festive board.

The St Giles Parish Rooms, Masonic Centre was built in the nineteenth century is a unique and beautiful Masonic building well worth visiting if you get the chance.

The town of Stony Stratford with its coaching ins “The Cock” and “The Bull”, where tall stories were told in times past, is the origin of the Cock and Bull story.
