Prestwood Under 12’s, with Royal Arch Help Make Final !

On Sunday the 5th of May,The Prestwood Colts under 12 Football Team whose shirts are sponsored by The Royal Arch Province of Buckinghamshire, played in the final of the South Bucks Mini Soccer Conference Yellow Division Football League, which was held at Thame Football Club, Meadow View Park, Thame. The final was between Prestwood Colts and Haddenham Youth Colts under 12 Football Teams.

A further connection with the Buckinghamshire Royal Arch is the manager of the Prestwood Colts is E Comp, Jon Callaly and coach Comp, Mike Kitching both members of the Neleus Chapter which meets at the Beaconsfield Masonic Centre.

Haddenham scored the first goal, which  put some of Prestwood Colts players heads down and they started chasing the game, chance after chance just wouldn’t fall right!

2  nil down!    3 nil down!

Then some inspirational play by Prestwood Colts arose in the final part of the game and BANG! 3   v  1    then   BANG!  3  v  2.

Final result: Haddenham 3  Prestwood Colts  2.

The game was played with good spirit from both teams and with a lot of mutual respect being shown. The fans were in good voice, many with hoarse throats by the final whistle.

The Manager Jon Callaly (who Manchester United are in talks with) spoke after the match, “We had promised every player equal pitch time because it was a celebration of their whole season, of which every single one of them had contributed. We upheld that promise with military precision, Coach Comp Squadron leader  Mike Kitching recorded timings of every one of my substitutions”.
