MEGS Graham Peter Dearing, The Most Excellent Second Grand Principal Russell Race
At 9.30am on Monday the 14th of September which was prior to the Government Pandemic rule of not more than six persons meeting together, becoming law, our Deputy Grand Superintendent in Charge Graham Peter Dearing was invested as The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent of Buckinghamshire, at a private ceremony at Great Queen Street. The meeting took place under the direction of Supreme Grand Chapter. The investiture was honored with the presence of The Most Excellent Second Grand Principal Russell Race who presided over the ceremony. He was ably assisted by E. Comp. James Hilditch M.E. Grand Superintendent Oxfordshire and E.Comp. Ian Hopgood the M.E.Grand Superintendent Berkshire.
The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent Graham Peter Dearing then invested
E Comp John Arthur Stribling, Neleus Chapter as Second Provincial Grand Principal.
E Comp Stan Trefor Green, Oliver Chapter as Third Provincial Grand Principal.
E Comp Mike Ralph Stephens, Thames Schools’ Chapter as Deputy Grand Superintendent.
He was also pleased to thank E Comp Richard Reano the outgoing Third Provincial Grand Principal, for his outstanding contribution in recent years to the Royal Arch and to present to him a past third grand principals’ collar.
The time of the meeting had been rearranged from a later time in the day, to ensure that it was compliant with the laws of the land and rules of Masonry. In all sixteen companions attended, including our own Provincial Grand Master John Clark, the Grand Scribe E, Dr David Staples along with the Grand DC and his excellent team.
This was not the way our Grand Superintendent and the other Principals wanted to be invested, however unique and special the event was, they would have preferred to have shared the day with the Buckinghamshire member and their guests. This was not meant to be and they all send their best regards to you and your families and we all look forward to seeing you again as soon as circumstances allow.
