Neleus Chapter would have held their Installation Meeting on Saturday 20th of March 2021 but due to the current COVID 19 emergency it has been cancelled, along with all Masonic meetings, however our kind thoughtful M.E. Grand Superintendent, Graham Dearing has written to the Chapter and to other Chapters on their Installation dates to express his disappointment in not being able to celebrate Installation with the Chapter, expressing his greetings to the members and an update on the Province:-
Dear Companions of Neleus Chapter
I trust all members and their families of the Chapter are well and healthy during this challenging time. I am mindful that this Saturday the 20th March, was due to be your installation meeting and once again, due to the current COVID 19 pandemic, your meeting cannot be held.
As a Provincial Executive, we would like to send all of the Chapter our best wishes and raise a glass to you all on Saturday. I know your own Scribe E will be doing just that, wearing both his hats as a member of the Chapter and the Executive.
2020 was undoubtedly a challenging year; no one could have foreseen the difficulties which have affected us all. We have suffered the loss of many Companions during the COVID crisis, along with family members. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all those affected. There has never been a time when brotherly love has been needed more. Our Royal Arch Provincial Almoner, Nick Wilson, is there to help if you know anyone who needs any assistance.
With the chance of returning to some normality insight, every Chapter will be planning for its return. I am sure you will have candidates waiting to join Neleus; it is, after all, one of the most enjoyable Chapters in the Province. I am asking every Chapter that when we do resume, let’s do it with style and have a meeting that celebrates our safe return and the companionship of the order.
If you are planning an exaltation, let’s make it extra special, not just for the companion coming in but for all your members. I will be ensuring that a Provincial team will attend every exaltation in the Province, not to interfere, but to join you in celebrating your return and your Chapter.
One small point, if you have a social get together on zoom, please let me know as I would love to pop in for five minutes to say hello, I should say, if invited. I have like you missed seeing the familiar faces, which makes Masonry in general so enjoyable.
Thank you all for your continued support; I am also really sorry you will not be meeting on Saturday. I look forward to when we can all be together again and enjoy the Royal Arch’s companionship and, in particular, that of Neleus Chapter. Meanwhile, may you and your families stay safe and healthy and are ready and eager to return to your regular meetings when we are allowed and when you feel comfortable doing so. I know your Scribe E will ensure you are well informed of any developments with our return.
Sincerely and fraternally
