Annual Convocation - 06 September 2021
Date of Annual Convocation announced
Companions,
I hope you and your families are well and looking forward to the easing of the lock-down in due course.
Due to the Government's recent announcement, I am delighted to confirm to you that our annual convocation will now be on Monday 6th September 2021, at our regular venue, Sindlesham.
Based on the current information available, there will not be any limits on numbers. Our acting officers appointed in March 2020 have lost a whole year of active duty, and our incoming officers will only have six months to enjoy their tenure. This meeting will recognise this fact and acknowledge those companions who also received past ranks in 2020.
I know our new acting officers for 2021-2022 are anxious to start their tenure, and our ME Grand Superintendent is looking forward to investing them, along with our newly promoted companions. These are indeed strange times. I am sure it will be a memorable meeting and I would urge you all to get the date fixed in your diaries
Our ME Grand Superintendent would like this meeting to be a special occasion; not only will it be his first in charge, but there is a lot to celebrate with our return to normality. Equally, we will not forget those companions and family members who sadly passed away during this challenging period.
Booking forms and further information will be made available in the coming weeks.
Sincerely and fraternally,
Mel Shah
