Christopher visits Norfolk!
On Thursday the 9th of June the Provincial Grand Chapter of Norfolk, held its Annual Meeting in the magnificent setting of St Andrews Hall, Norwich.
St. Andrew's Hall and the conjoining Blackfriars' Hall are a Grade 1 listed set of friary church and convent buildings, dating back to the 14th century. They make up the most complete friary complex surviving in England. The complex is made up of several flint buildings. The centerpiece is St Andrew's Hall.
The Annual meeting was led by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent for Norfolk, E Comp Stephen Allen who is also the Provincial Grand Master of Craft
The meeting went like clockwork with processions of Grand Superintendents of other Provinces and distinguished visitors along with the joy of the investiture of Officers for the Royal Arch Province of Norfolk.
Following the meeting drinks were served for the distinguished visitors, in the historical under croft with its very fine vaulted roof and then returning to St Andrews Hall to dine on Norfolk Turkey and all trimmings.
A memorable Masonic Occasion!
The visiting team from Buckinghamshire was led by E Companion Christopher Swinehoe-Standen our Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals on his first visit representing the Royal Arch Province of Buckinhamshire.
