Cowper and Newton celebrate, 51 years membership in the Royal Arch for Mike Jolley!

On Wednesday 13th April 2022, the Provincial Grand Chapter of Buckinghamshire, led by the ME Grand Superintendent, E. Comp Graham Dearing, descended on the sleepy village of North Crawley to attend the installation meeting of Cowper and Newton Chapter no 2244. MEZ of the Chapter, E. Comp Mike Jolley who was exalted into the Royal Arch in 1971 had achieved  50 years in the Royal Arch, but due to the covid pandemic was unable to celebrate. The Provincial team comprising of 18 acting officers including the ME Grand Superintendent, the Deputy Grand Superintendent, E. Comp Mike Stephens and the 2nd and 3rd Provincial Grand Principals, E. Comp Phil Blacklaw and E. Comp Stephen Knight as well as 14 other officers were there to celebrate the occasion.

E. Comp Jolley installed E. Comp Neil Barrett as MEZ in exemplary fashion. The other Principals invested were E. Comp Tim Long as H and Comp Peter Fearnside as J.

What followed the installation ceremony was an interview carried out by the Grand Superintendent when E. Comp Mike Jolley was asked about his masonic journey. He was then presented with a 50 year certificate.

The companions then retired to an excellent festive board.
