First Principal Rob Chaproniere, Harry Hunter (50 not out) MEGS Graham Dearing.

On Friday 13th January 2023, Buckinghamshire First Principals held their Installation Meeting at Slough Masonic Centre. The Meeting was very well attended with members from all parts of the Province and distinguished guests form other Provinces along with our Most Excellent Grand Superintendent Graham Dearing and his Executive.

The meeting saw the installation as First Principal our much loved Companion Robert Chaproniere, Second Principal E Comp, John Stribling and Third Principal E Comp, Peter Lovegrove.

After the Installation our Most Excellent Grand Superintendent addressed the Companions informing them of changes to the Executive for our Provincial Meeting in March, with E Comp Mike Stephens retiring as Deputy Grand Superintendent and the promotion of E Comp Phillip Blaklaw as Deputy Grand Superintendent. E Comp Stephen Knight promotion to Second Provincial Grand Principal and E Comp Joseph Le Roi-Smith promoted to Third Provincial Grand Principal. E Comp Michael Clanfield promoted to Assistant to Provincial Grand Principals. E Comp Darren Mantel a very deserving promotion to Provincial Grand Scribe Nehamaria, The Companions present showed their appreciation of the changes.

A surprise presentation was given to E Comp Harry Hunter on achieving 50 years membership of the Royal Arch since joining Seymour Bell Chapter No 3635 in Northumberland in 1972. The presentation was well received and much enthusiasm was expressed by all present!

The high lite of the meeting was a very well researched and informative lecture on "Freemasonry in the Movies" given by our Most Excellent Grand Superintendent going back to the early years of motion Pictures to the present time, very enjoyable.

The Companions via the bar, dined together, Prawn Cocktail, Braised steak in Merlot sauce, vegetables and dauphinoise potatoes, Lemon torte with cream, Cheese and biscuits, good food, good wine, enjoyable speeches, but above all good company!

For Buckinghamshire First Principals, Friday the 13th was lucky a full agenda a very good Masonic Occasion!
